Give of take? About a million, give or take two million. Worth 50 cents, give or take 5 bucks. But not less than 50 cents.
It's a proof, not sure about mintage or a guide on value right now as i dont have a reference with me. Is it silver or clad, that would make a difference right off the bat. As for the scratch it probably got in circulation/being rolled and handled.
2011 redbook lists 3,082,483 in copper nickel, $6.00 in Prf65, and 965,421 in silver, $13.00 in Prf65, minted
Photos? What he said. I think I got the facts right. :rolling: Is is clad or silver? Mintage varied. Scratches on a proof? Eye appeal comes to question as to their location and extent. So can we see it?:kewl:
I'll try and post some pictures. It is the clad version. Just one more question, was there a way to buy this coin without buying the set? I have read on here about people finding proofs roll searching but I always thought proofs were part of sets.
sets get broken up if someone is sending in the other coins for grading or a coin album collection... the rest they may sell off or simply spend in circulation. you can buy such coins from coin shops or on auction sites like eBay, which are not in sets.
