Do you think that this is a type 1 or type 2 counter die clash since the spike to the head(element) is not a part of the original die design.Here is a link with more info.
I believe if it was a die clash there would be more clash marks showing than this. it sure is not a counter clash because first there has to be a die clash before the dies can clash again to make a counter clash. this is probably just a die gouge which is so common on our newer coins. i know it's weird but some of the die gouge coins at one time sold for huge prices before folks found out it was only die gouge coins..
