For clean this coin I used, alcohol, windex, acetone, Brake fluid and Stripper. Is this mint error or I am wrong? All I want to know is; what was behind the black spots.
I cleaned that well to demonstrate the alteration is in the Die and no were else. If you see the 1969 S Lincoln cent with error; the high relief worm shape (hair) is in the same spot, the only difference is that, in this 2000 is concave, CORRECTION: the worm shape (hair) in the 2000 is also high relief, I just check the cent.
It's damaged- probably run over by a car. Worth 1c. Even if it was an error, in that condition + the cleaning method, you would be hard-pressed finding anyone to buy it.
well.. even if it is, its value has been succesfully flushed down the toilet. any value it could have once held is not gone. never ever clean(damage) a coin like that.
My lesson is all ready clear. "DON'T CLEAN THE COINS, IF IS NOT NECESSARY", Thank for your help. I never sold a single coin yet. I'm new in this nice hobby.
When some body tell you, "Seem like you are the victim of an overactive imagination, same principle as seeing Jesus in a piece of burn toast or the name of Allah in a sliced eggplant". Then you feel a lot of frustration and do what I did.
