What do you guys think of this? I pulled this from circulation a few years back. In the city, these are used a lot on the subway system and rarely available in good condition.

Marvelous shape considering how fast these coins tone up. The ones that I find that are that old are downright beastly.

yeah, the mint produced a lot of this 2000 d sac. now they poured out all the sac including the good condition. i was able to get so many in xf to au+ condition.

try to take long island railroad and use the $20.00 bill to buy train ticket. it will come out a lot of good condition sac 2000 and 2001.

I use the subway but the Sacs aren't in such good shape anymore. I get two rolls of dollars with each pay check to carry and spend. I also give one two two of the younger children. Sacs in decent shape are really getting scarce.

They must be pulling them from a different source than the city. Most of the ones I see are dull brown now and show wear. I hate the way these coins tone.

that's true. i hate those toned dollars and cents. but right now you can still get a lot of sac dollars in xf+ to au+. i don't call it unc cause it is being used. try l.i.r.r.

if it has no wear, it is MS, circulated or not.

Where do you think all those MS's came from, all mint sets?

no. not mint set. it is simply came from the mint last source. the mint first release all those used coins. then follow last with better condition i guess.

Generally they are just plucked from bank rolls. See the thread on this a few weeks back about the source of current gems when their is no longer any standard Mint Sets.
