2000 d penny

    Can anyone tell me about this penny and if its on any value?
    The weight fluctuates,from 2.2 tp 2.3

    What are you placing your scale on? It needs to be on a very stable flat surface such as a kitchen sink countertop.

    As stated makes sure your scale is on a flat surface a normal zinc cent weighs 2.5 so yours is with in tolerance +/-.13 no extra value. JMO

    It is on coffee table,and reads 0 before i put the penny on it,it Is the actual penny weight,u can feel the difference when u pick it up thats why i originally weighed it.

    It looks like environmental damage. This could result in a little weight loss. In addition, you need to make sure your scale is calibrated and on a level surface or the weights could be slightly off. Finally, since your scale only has 0.1 gram resolution, 2.3 grams on a properly calibrated scale could actually be 2.25-2.35 grams.
