2000 ase

    Had a friend give me an ASE today from the year 2000. I'm not sure, but it looks as though it is a commemorative or something? The reverse has a different design than I am used to. It has a rising sun instead of the eagle, but the obverse is the same. Anyone know anything about it?

    I do not remember a commemorative from that year like that. Can you get some pictures? I am wondering if it is just a silver round.

    troublesbrewin remember rotary phones?

    That would be my guess as well......
    any other standard markings...."E Pluribus Unum", "In God We Trust" etc...
    A good picture always helps if possible.

    Yep that's what it is:) thanks! I was confused because of the obverse design, the year and the "In God We Trust", "Liberty", and the "2000" on the obverse as well.
