Hi, I just found a star note with serial number IG 00176596* and was wondering if I should hold onto it or not? It has one fold down the center. I checked online, and it said it has a production run of 640,000. Keeper? I'm new to bills. Thanks everyone!
640k and under is the threshold for keeping modern star notes in my opinion. But unfortunately the notes has many other condition issues, apart from the vertical center fold. I see 2-3 horizontal folds, corner folds, and marker ink from being in a strap. I would probably spend it, but if you can afford to tie up $20, you are certainly welcome to keep it as well.
