I got a $20 bill with my change today, and noticed on the reverse that part of the beginning of the serial number from the front has bled through quite clearly. Is there any value with this, or is it common? I will post pics when I get back to my house, just curious if there was any value and what it might be. Thank you in advance.
Bleed through is less likely than an offset transfer of the third printing. Because the numbers are almost identical it can look like bleed through, but really isn't (even serious over inking errors normally don't bleed through to the other side...)
Could also be "super embossing" of the serial numbers. A pic would be a better judge of what might be going on with this bill.
I too would like to see pictures of this note, as others mentioned there is probably another reason for the serial numbers then a bleed through.
