$20 error note?

    i found this at work today. is this a mint error or pmd? and if an error, what would be the value to this if any? i am a coin guy and would like to trade for a coin.thank you

    Looks like underinking. Could be an erasure, though.
    FYI, paper money is not minted, it's printed. It's printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, not the US Mint. The US Mint only produces coins (as well as medals).

    I am no expert but if you have got this New or unused . I think if graded it would be detailed ink missing. As is it's a good keeper .:)

    I believe it is genuine because both serial numbers are affected and they weren't affected equally. But don't take that as a guarantee. To be sure, look where the ink is missing to see if there's any abrasions from erasure attempts.

    Definitely not PMD. looking like an under inking problem! Nice note, very interesting!
