this 20 has a serial number out of line, is it worth anything?

I'm not a currency collector, but IMHO that minor a printing error is probably worth somewhere between $19.99 and $20.01, especially since it is not in pristine crisp uncirculated condition, with some minor wrinkles, a black mark on the top margin, and numerous edge crinkles..

That black spot in the top right portion of the bill is odd to me. About three weeks ago

my wife and i went to the casino boats adn stopped at the bank to pick up some $20's

The teller opened a banded stack to pay us our deposit and of the $300, a similar black

spot ran down the same portion of the bill like somethign had been spilled there.

I had just thought it an interestign coincidence

looks something like ink spilled on the bills, nothing much. I dont think an error with the cerial number off line like that is worth any more than the bill itself.
