Is a note with the serial number JB 04040908 A considered to be a collectable?

I'm going to say no. You can go ahead and spend that one.

it is considered a repeater (so I have been told by my local dealer) and depending on condition it may /may not have value

You need to find a new local dealer!

That's a stretch of imagination calling the note a repeater — A repeater is the first four digits of the serial number repeated. For example:

    I'd say it's a spender. A repeater would be 04040404. Partial repeaters don't count.:smile

he considered it a repeaters since the Zero is repeated every other number. If it isnt then my dealer doesnt know a lot about FDN.
