Hi, I was wondering if you could help please? A friend of mine has 2 krugerrands he wants to sell. They appear almost immacultate and are dated 1974. Where's the best place to sell them? Thanks Trev
Welcome to the forum. And, as for your friend, I'd check values/prices on line. Then take it to a local coin dealer. Research first, sell later.
Hello & welcome. I've had good results using ebay. Be sure to follow Paypal's signature confirmation rules if you decide to use ebay also.
These have no numismatic value at all, at least in this area only the gold These have no numismatic value at all, at least in this area only the gold value - sure they are easier to sell if clean and nice but they are not a numismatic coin - it's just X amount of gold. A local show with a dealer who is fair when gold is up a bit would be his/her best shot and there he can shop it around and within an hour get the best $$$.
I have some greysheet-listed bullion pieces and checked with a reputable local dealer. The offer was quite a bit below greysheet BID so I'll skip them. I'll list on eBay.
Don't Sell Local Or Ebay In my experience when I went to sell some gold eagles I had, I found all the local jewelers and pawn shops weren't giving much for them. Instead find an online buyer who pays you more fairly. And don't use EBAY - again in my experience - when I added up all the Ebay and Paypal fees - it equals 11%! That's outrageous! I recommend the Silver And Gold Exchange. They have high buy prices for bullion and also have a great reputation. check them out - http://SilverAndGoldExchange.com
