Recently found a couple of coins that grabbed my attention. The rosie on top as compared to the lower one looks blind. The quarter on top as compared to the lower one has no oak in " the charter oak". Any one ever run across similar ones? Whopps!! the rosie wont upload. But hers the quarter.
It looks like a "filled die" error. Dirt, grease, or metal fills part of the die, so the planchet metal cannot expand into the space. I have an older Washington quarter that is missing half of the motto above the eagle from a similar type of error.
