The writing makes me think a country in the Orient, but not sure which one. The reverse of both notes is blank.

    anyone?
    Note 1
    Note 2

    Thanks :p

Can't really help you Daggarjon, however, the colors are very rich on those 2 notes! Very nice...are they yours??

yes, they are now :) they came in the last couple weeks in a couple shipments i got in. Still sorting, scanning and attributing all those. These 2 notes have got to be from a country in Asia or so. the writing screams it. I checked China, Japan, Korea both north and south, Vietnam ... i cant find nothing. I cant read the writing either, so that doesnt help lol

maybe someone who can read it will stop in ... hontonai? :D

I was doing some digging around and one question I have -- is the back side of the note blank?

I don't have my Krause Specialized note book, but looking at a site I think I found what at least the red note is. Check the following url to see if it indeed does match one of the notes. I think the red one is a China Specialized Issue P-S1453 (H3-3) 5 Cents, No date bill.

The url I was comparing your note to is: http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/banknotes/china/chih3-3.jpg

I may or may not be correct, but the two of them look to be very close.

    Hope this helps......

indeed, it looks like you have found it!!! the reverse of both notes is blank! and the descriptions in the Krause books does match, although, it doesnt list much of a description aside from color lol The pictures in the book does not help much in trying to match up the 'letters' printed on each note.

but for now, it looks close enough for me :D
P-S1452 and P-S1453 they now are!!!

thanks so much! after digging though a dozen countries in the first 2 volumnes, i gave up on the third volume thinking i wouldnt find it lol .. i should have kept looking :D

    thanks again!!!!

I don't have that third volume myself. I went online to a site that has alot of stuff - http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/ -- very helpful when I have been looking for stuff that is considered specialized or just needing to find a note or two. Glad that I could be of assistance in this!!
