I found the following two coins while searching rolls and am curious to know if these are bona fide errors or just PMD?

    1) 1985-D Roosevelt Dime - Broadstruck error?

    2) 1995-P (I think...) - Struckthrough die grease error?

I have photographed the two coins side by side to make the evaluations easier so that you can see that the camera was in proper focus.

    Opinions?

If the Dime has reeding it is not a Broadstrike

The Nickel looks like PMD - Post Mint Damage

The nickel is damaged, and the dime is not broadstruck, which can be seen by the reeded edge. Many 1985 d dimes have the same appearance as yours, due to a planchet problem if I remember correctly.

Edit: There was a thread on coincommunity about 1985 d dimes a while back:

Thanks to all who replied. It truly is a strange looking specimen. My first thought was that it was a struck strough grease error that had since seen a lot of circulation damage, but after looking at this nickel under a 16x loupe I now think someone ran it through a bead polisher or something similar.

The dime has reeding, so no dice, I suppose. Thanks to all. Back to the searching!
