2 new cheapie romans

    got 2 new low grade (but cool) romans!

    this is my first severus alexander and my firs triple standard reverse....

    i cleaned this one up a bit, here is the original pic..

    ...and this one is my first with this reverse type (and only my third theodosius)

    the seller wrote this was antioch mint, but looks like a CONSS...constantinople
    anyone know attriubtion on this one?

    Coin 1 is in fair condition and not a bad looking coin. Coin 2 I can't make out the legend very well, but perhaps it is:

    Theodosius AE3. D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, diademed bust right / CONCORDIA AVGGG, Constantinopolis seated facing, head right, holding spear & globe. RIC 57d of Constantinople.

    You did a great job cleaning that first coin - just enough to bring out its character without stripping it. Well-done.

    Nice Roman Provincial Bithynia et Pontus, Nicaea coin. I may get one of those in the future.
