I have added two more lucilla's to the set I am building of her. Both were bought pretty cheaply. I will spare the reference notes. Pietas VOTA
You do a pretty good job of cataloging. Kudos. @mrbrklyn - the "nose job" looks like a die flaw to me
Btw, Mat, you can use blind html tags and a numeric code in the "title" space to help sort your coins in your Forum gallery. For example, one of mine uses: <!--083.0516.aesculapius.blank-->
Looking forward to seeing your set when it is complete, Mat. Those are two nice additions. Remarkable though how different the style is between the two (even accounting for the die flaw on the second one) - the expression is radically different, almost childlike in the first. stern and aged on the second.
I have mine sorted alphabetical, not familiar with numeric code your referring too. @Chris, yes the Vota is the scarcer of the 2. @Eduard, thanks. I like the portrait on the Pietas lucilla also, it looks better in hand, has more golden toning then a iphone photo can capture. Also the rub on the cheek really isnt noticeable under plain eyesight.
I'm glad there is at least one sane section of this bulletin board where people can politely and intelligently discuss coins. BTW - nobody answered my question. Why is the nose so big for the second coin? Ruben
