New items (2 medals and 2 coins) we received at the Economy Shop that supports several local charities:

    1. Commemorative Abraham Lincoln Bronze Medal: The obverse of the medal features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln with the inscription “ABRAHAM LINCOLN” centered along the border of the medal. The reverse of the medal features a wreath of oak and laurel within a pearled ring with the inscription “INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MARCH 4, 1861. SECOND TERM MARCH 4, 1865. ASSASSINATED APRIL 14, 1865.” Within the wreath is a spray of pine and cedar, circled by a serpent with its tail in its mouth – the Egyptian symbol of eternity and immortality.
    1.3290 inches; 1 21/64 inches in fraction; 33.76 mm

    3. German medal awarded for outstanding performance at exhibitions or competitions of every kind except for sport events. It is a medal that is awarded in Bronze (80 mm) or Silver (60 mm) since ca. 1950. During the last decades it was only produced in Bronze.

Designed by Hans Martin Ruwoldt (15.02.1891 - 16.10.1969)
Obverse: crouching youth with plant sprout.
Reverse: STAATSPREIS DER FREIEN UND HANSESTADT HAMBURG. Helmeted coat of arms of Hamburg held by two lions.
    80.38 mm
Since this medal measures 80.38 mm, I assume it is bronze, although the color is silvery.

    4. Australia, 50 Cents - Elizabeth II 2nd Portrait - Captain Cook. Commemorative issue, 200th Anniversary of Cook's Australian Voyage. The Royal Australian Mint issued this 50-cent coin, the first commemorative coin of the decimal era, in 1970 to celebrate the bicentenary of the navigation of Australia’s east coast by Captain James Cook.
There were 556,888 coins issued as a red cased specimen.

The case this coin is set in can’t be opened and the plastic of the case is somewhat dirty and not clear.
