    Dont Even Know If This Is Real...got It As Change A Few Years Ago....1 Side Dated 1984 ==the Other Says 1978....dont Know What To Do Next...never Been On This Site Before...never Looked Up A Coin Before...got Any Ideas???? Thanx For Any Advice And Help...........

    It is not real. That is to say that the US Mint did not create that coin the way that it is today. Someone put those to pieces together. It is perfectly legal to do so, unless someone tries to sell it as something other then a novelty.
    So it is a novelty, keep it and have fun with it.
    Also the 1978 side is copper and the 1984 side is copper "plated" zinc.

    My mistake. I got cents on the brain and thought Shaween's issue was with a one cent piece. OOOPS!
