2 German worlds?

    Germany 1972G - 5 five rings on front . Second coin Germany completely diff. 5 mark 1972G yet looik so diff. Anyone can explain?

    Hmm, I don't quite understand the question. The five rings you mentioned could be the Olympic rings that appeared on a 10 DM commem from 1972. Do you have images of the pieces?

    I'mfairly sure they are common - but why so same coins so diff looking? One is sort of uUS looking the other looks not so good.
    Germany 1972G 5 Mark - 2 coins look so diff.

    Perhaps because there were several different commemorative made for the Olympics that year (all with the same date and denomination)?

    That is what I assumed too (see post #3), but the 1972 Munich Olympics coins are all 10 DM pieces, and PaperPatty writes about 5 DM coins. Without any images, or a more detailed description at least, it will be tough to find out what those pieces are.
