I've got two pieces for sale. These were minted by the Gallery Mint and depict a design proposed for what became the Sacagawea dollar.

The MS69 graded one appears flawless. The MS68 has a few copper spots on the obverse, and the slab has some smudging on the reverse - looks like sticker residue or similar.

Info on these can be found here: http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page17.html about 1/3-1/2 way down the page.

These are both (as far as I can tell) the piedfort strikes, with a mintage of 2500 each.

These really are gorgeous coins, they just don't fit very well with my collection, so I'd like to sell them to someone who would appreciate them better than I.

Value-wise, I have looked without much success to find comparables. Ebay shows an identical ICG MS69 having sold for $175 in April, as well as an ANACS MS68 of the flowing-hair-esque design for $98. Heritage Auctions shows several completed auctions ranging from $75-175, but nothing anytime recently - I think the last one they show is ca. 2009.

I'd like to get $250 shipped for the pair, but am open to offers.

There are a few items I'm looking for in trade - 1921 and 1921D Walking Liberty halves, any Walking Liberties in MS/PF (or pre-1939 in XF/AU), British Trade dollars, and nicer gothic florins. Old gold (US or foreign) is also always of interest.

If you're interested, send me a PM, and we'll work something out.
