2 Dollar Obsolete Bank Note

    I picked up this note about 3 weeks ago. It's from the State Bank at Trenton New Jersey. The note is number 1747, dated April 4, 1825. The bearer of the note is a gentleman by the name of H. S. Hebert. On the bottom left it says secretary and on the bottom right is the bank presidents signature Abner Reedier. The note was printed by Fairman Draper. The State Bank of Trenton was created in 1812 and passed out of existence after about 45 years. The note has a fold on the lower right hand side, but other than that it's still nice and crisp.

    Oh my is that what I think is showing on her left hand side:

    Me thinks our Victorian forebears were not quite as prude as we have painted them to be. 19th Century obsoletes are so so tempting for me to dive deep into and collect, much more affordable and lovelier designs than regular USA currency from the time.
