I still haven't decided on which product I should purchase...I want to display my barber half dollar set in the most prestigious/presentable way possible...what do you think is a better way to display it...on a dansco album or buy airtite half dollar slots and make a barber half album out of it.... Dansco presents mintmarks/dates/mintages... but the coin slides in and out...and my coins might have album scratches.... on the other hand...we have airtite holders.... it wont scratch but i have to buy everything separately... hmm....very tough...and my raw collection is growing every week...it's just piling up in a box.....
What's more important to you - protecting the coins ? Or having them look pretty in a cardboard case ? When you can answer that question - you'll have your answer.
Depends on quality and type of coin. To me on the dansco it is in once and their it stays. No sliding in and out. To me I moved my raw large cents into one. I also have one for Bust halves, IHC's and Liberty Nickels. I like the way they look. The airtites - which I still use are for individual coins. I just have not found a holder with displaying them for myself. I have heard some of the capital holder albums would hold them - but nothing looks good to me. I like both, but prefer the dansco just for my viewing pleasure. I do think airtites protect the coins better, but dansco albums are fine if you take care with them.
For me the decision was made on price. Cheap coins go in Danscos. Expensive coins go in Airtites (or slabs).
