I've had very little success buying CWRs from the local banks as they all appear to have been searched by another collector here in town. But from what I've read on CoinTalk they be lucrative. So I keep buying them and sure enough these 2 yielded these nice 40%ers. The other clad coins were all from the 1970's, someone's old stash?
It's possible given the type of roll they are in that they were accumulated over time in the bank and wrapped by a teller. My credit union's coin machines reject 90 and 40% coins so they end up with the tellers - then me.
