Had to stop and take a picture when looking for a good bottle of wine yesterday. Was not enough to convince me to buy one but sure did make me stop. Happen to enjoy wines from this particular wine maker "Orin Swift" but this was a little too much for my budget. Hope someone takes the dime off though before they throw the bottle away!

This is also one way to connect one passion with another! :) Just glad it wasn't a 1916? :D Then I would have had to buy it!

Carrumba! $255 for a bottle of wine? The wife likes Carlo Rossi, and I'm thankful she does.......:)

Says sold out.......probably swill anyway. devil.gif

I'll never understand wine drinkers.......how they pucker their lips and breath in air to mix with the liquid that languishes in their mouths.........just take a blasted slug (drink) of the thing. And then swallow it.........

$254.99 a bottle and they keep them that close to the edge of the shelf? Silly
The fancy wine shops here in NYC that have bottles half that price are kept in cabinets securely locked.

two-buck-chuck? Or rather, it's like 2.50 now and nobody can afford it.

You can tell the price of a bottle of wine by the amount of dust on it.

FWIW - I'll give you melt value on the bottles and the silver after you drink the wine. :woot:

My wife and I also like Carlo Rossi, the Paisano variety. We buy it by the gallon and drink it fast enough that it never goes bad (becomes vinegar). And two-buck Chuck is now three-buck Chuck, or at least it was the last time we bought it at Trader Joe's. Whole Food has a competing brand that it sells for $3 a bottle. Walmart has one that they sell for something like $2.77 a bottle. You can tell we're really sophisticated wine drinkers!

Do they still make that? I'm sitting here looking at a 40 year old empty bottle.
