    Dates of the coins?

I can tell you that neither is die doubling. First might be MD. Not sure about the 2nd. I have seen the anomaly frequently. I don't think that it is a clash, but the cause currently has escaped me right now...

    1) strike/machine doubling.

    2) clash die

the forehead is a 47 D wheatie and the other is 56 P. I was thinking clash for the 2nd but it doesn't like a pillar from the building. isn't that what you would think would be there?

Well, a 1956 cent wouldn't have the memorial reverse anyway, so I wouldn't imagine it would look like a pillar from the building. :hilarious:

I'll guess it's from the right leg of the N.

Wouldn't it be incuse and not raised in that case? Or is it actually incuse and I'm seeing it as an illusion?

I'm seeing it as incuse, but I may be wrong. If it's raised then I would guess some type of abrasion. If incuse, then a clash of the N in CENT.
