is the 2 cent american coin from 1864 suppose to have the same die rotation as all other coins? Like when you flip it over it should be right side up? Because i have a 2 cent coin that when you flip it over its upside down Is this a die rotation of 180 degrees or is this normal? Ill be posting pictures in a few minutes thanks
Heres the pictures I bought this coin from a lot of ebay in case anyone is curious how i came across it. No where in the description does it say it was a die rotation or anything. http://www.ebay.com/itm/330784417099?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_1203 Is this worth any premium?
There is a known variety for the 1864 large motto with the metal alignment, it is cataloged as KF-L7-RPD. This variety has a repunched date as referred to by the RPD. The variety is fairly common.
A medal alignment is a coin with a 180 degree turn of a normal coin. So that if you spin a coin, both sides will face up.
