http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/book.html#kent I have posted (above) two mini-reviews for two books both named Roman Coins. I own both. Many of you would enjoy one or both. Another thread currently talks about us being snobbish. If there is anything that will put a Roman coin snob in their place it would be the Kent book. The 785 coins shown there include a couple coins that I have in a grade equal to or better than the one they show. Perhaps there are another 10 than I have a specimen less than theirs but many are types that are beyond belief. Most are gold and many are multiples. My favorite is the five aureus piece Diocletian and Maximianus gave to big shots when they assumed their joint consulship in 287. It is not the largest gold piece in the group but the quadriga of elephants is pretty nice. I would be interested in hearing from any of you that have either of these books. Both are long out of print but show up used regularly. I have had Sutherland for a long time but just got Kent: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231489332152?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
