MS-62/63 The areas that appear to be "wear" look to me to be contamination from the holder (pvc damage). Get it out of that holder and into an airtitie! Nice Indian! Ribbit :smile
I use coin-edge for all recent collections I am starting. I am even gonna switch my airtite holders to coin edge
AU-50/53 Very nice coin. The top photo reminded me of the "Cal Ripken, Reverse Negative" which was a VERY Hot card several years back. 1992 Fleer Ultra I think. ben
I took a peek at those coin-edge holders. They look a lot better than the old 2x2. Might have to buy some. NOt to mention if you buy of 75.oo shipping is free. Cant beat that.
why I think cleaned : lack of luster. There's also some concern about the color in the upper right reverse field (behind the eagle's head). why I think AU50 : clearly there's wear on the vitals, especially the eagle's shoulder and breast. Hard to say for sure from the photos, but it surely appears there is rub on the Indian's cheek. There is loss of detail on the lowest two obverse feathers as well. This is one of my favorite series. Wonderful coins.
Those are gonna be popular ! Any feedback on the "inertness" of the material ? Have they been out long enough to know ?
well I have used them for awhile now, but I do not know how long they have been out. For now, I have not had any problems.
I would say the Indian is XF45 - AU50 and that it has possibly been cleaned. And yes Coin-Edge holders are inert.
hopefully these better pics will help with accuracy here also shows coin edge holders in action was anyone else surprised on how skinny these coins are? I guess I am used to thick silver coins
