Ya I have a guy that wants to trade with me some quarter eagles for stuff that I have. My question is that they are the Indian Head coins, 1908 and 1912 they are in older green PCI slabs. I haven't seen the coins yet but I know that thier are a lot of fakes out there. What are some things to look for on these coins to verify that they are genuine. The slabs appear to be in great condition.

There was a time when PCI did a so-so job with grading and you had little to worry about in regard to authenticity. But there's been so many different colored slabs of theirs that I can't recall which was which anymore. Conder should be able to help you out on that count.

If he doesn't see and respond here, send him a PM.
