2 1806 half cents type and variety

    Here you go folks - there are two here...any help on variety if any and any attribution would be awesome!!!


    pair up the coins by color - top one is back to bottom one and the two middles are together

    From what I can tell in your pics: The first one is a Cohen-1, R-1, Small High 6, stemless reverse. The second one appears as though it is the stemless revese also, but with the state of corrosion I can't be sure.

    If tilting the coin under a light you can determing that no stems are present you can be sure it is a Cohen-1 as well.

    Other thoughts?

    So those are both small 6, of which there are three varieties. With a stemless reverse it's C-1 and the most common. If the reverse has stems it get's interesting.

    C-2 is scarce and brings a premium. Diagnostic is the B above the E in LIBERTY.
    C-3 is very rare and very valuable, diagnostic is B below E in LIBERTY and this variety in the grade of coins you posted pictures would be worth around $5,000+

    I think both of yours are stemless C-1, but check to make sure.
