Does anyone know how long it took the 1st day off issue washington presedential covers to sell out from the mint? What's up with john adams cover not being sold out yet?
Not sure how long it took, but I can tell you that it was the first and only time that any FDC had ever sold out. It was caused by speculators trying to make a buck. It will likely also be the last time that an FDC sells out.
They should be sold out any day now. As far as past covers the ones that I see sold out besides washington are the five nickel ones, the Sacagawea, and five state quarters.
