Searching a fresh roll last night yielded this beauty. Also found several doubled dies at the statue columns. img844.jpg img845.jpg

It's a damn shame that it had to be a Zincoln.

NICE FIND! It's very amazing to find that in a roll. Most errors are found in bags. It would be extra cool if it was a WAM but the FG is too far away from the memorial.

    CONGRATS!

Nice coin. The holder looks like static is hanging on to a lot of dust. I would change the holder.

I did find a 1999 WAM the other night but it was bleeding zinc all over from a periphery crack all around the reverse of the plating.

CONGRATS! Finding one in ANY condition is a triumph! I've probably searched well over 10k 1999's and only found 2....and I consider myself lucky. I know folks that search way more than I and have never found one.

    I am just curious...
How did you find a Broadstrike in a roll?
Are they not larger than a normal Cent?

Honestly . it was my first and I have searched tens of thousands also. I'll keep it but not post it, it's just plain butt ugly.

Slightly but this one did not get spread out as most do. It actually came from an original bank sealed roll. The roll did not look out of proportion but it was the first coin on one end so that's probably why it did not tear the roll like it might have if in the middle somewhere. This same roll yielded 5 doubled dies also. In the statue bay.

    Thanks...

I've often suggested searching out the type of DDRs you mentioned to those who have grown tired of roll searching due to little success. They may not be great or valuable finds, but I would think them fun for one so inclined. Congrats, Tommy.
