New to coin hunting. Double dyes are confusing! Can some one take a look at this and give me an opinion? Thanks in advance. WIN_20170510_10_49_08_Pro.jpg

I don't see any doubling of the letters in your photo.

If you're talking about the 'double rim', that's 'as struck',
and is not considered an error coin. (it's probably a very
    minor mis-aligned rev. die).

Is this what you're asking about ??

I was looking at the D,S and T. In this pick you can see the doubling in the whole word STATE. Most likely nothing but I'm not sure. Thanks for looking. WIN_20170510_12_26_49_Pro.jpg

This looks like classic Strike Doubling. It is more of a "shelf" next to the letter, and not a DOUBLED DIE. The tip off is usually the "NOTCHING" that accompanies a doubled die strike. Strike doubling is not considered an error and carries no premium beyond if it is "dramatic" and then someone might want it as an extreme example. Your coin is not an extreme example. Hope that helps.

Helps very much. I've already eliminated several coins from my "promising" stack. Thanks for the response and the info.
