Really...after all the box searching I've done, I didn't think I'd ever find one of these, epspecially this nice! Lots of luster on this puppy!
Nice! I've been searching for one of those for a while. About how many boxes did you look through until you found it???
Nice find!!!!!!! I have searched many a 98,99 and 2000 cent, no wide am's here. Which year is the rarest ?
Wide AM Lincoln. Look at the separation of the AM in America. On a normal cent, the A and M should be touching or nearly so. In the WAM, there is an obvious separation. Nice Find!!!
I wouldn't go as far as saying that the Lincoln cent is my favorite, but it is close to the top. I am not such a fan of the zincolns, but I do love a nice red copper one. It just has this satiny look to it. Anyway, I don't often look for WAMs, but would consider buying one for a cheap price if offered. Then it will be locked away deep in the vault never to see the light of day again..... because thats the only way to keep the crude off. LOL!
Amazing!! Great find now excuse me while I ask a newbie question here. Is there any other difference besides the space between the AM in A MERICA to verify that it's a WAM? I appreciate it.
Great info! thx, I will keep my eyes open!! Oh, what dates are more likely or does it apply to all dates?
Congrats on the find!!! Been looking forever for one...I have found four 2000 wide am's...so far no 98's or 99's Good for you!:hail:
1998,1999,2000...a 1996 was found by Billy Crawford, but stolen and it was never validated by a secondary source.
