1999 State Quarter "Connecticut" on what is either a Presidential planchet or a Sacag

    This is the first I have heard or seen of this type of coin. I know it's not a "mule" (1/2 Quarter & 1/2 Dollar). Does anyone know what to call it?

    If it's gold colored it's probably plated.
    Dollar planchets couldn't be struck in a quarter collar, they're too big.

    Regular sized, so it's probably just plated then?

    I think I remember when the state quarters first came out, TV ads were advertising gold plated ones :confused: worth 26 cents in gold plating :rolleyes:
