I jut got a $5 star, series 1999, near new, slight fold in the center. #BF10912728* Any value? Thanks for your input.
I believe this star was printed in December of 1999. The star production in the "F" Series $5 is 10,915,200. If there's a slight fold in the center, and the crispness is still in tact, I would say that the note would be in VF to XF condition, even with a small fold down the center. I would say $10-12 for that note. Just my opinion though!
the better the condition the better the chance it will have a higher value in the future. as for its value now, i couldnt give you an accurate value.
It comes from a 3,200,000 print run, so as far as star notes go, it's relatively common. However, I believe that all stars are worth keeping - it only costs you $5 and you can always change your mind later. Nice find
