I'm trying to complete my silver proof statehood quarter sets. A few years ago the 1999 silver proof set was selling for $400+. I just looked at Ebay and they are selling for $275 to $300 now.

Should I buy now, or wait? If silver prices continue to rise will the price for the set drop?

A few years ago I was going to trade in some junk silver coins for a set. I'm glad I didn't do that!

Well, silver is really high, so it would make since to wait, in my opinion. However, my fiance did find a complete set of 99-07 silver sets complete for $600, which was a deal, compared to everything else we saw on ebay, with that going for $700 and $800.

Hi Modernman; I say buy. I paid $325 a couple of months ago and found later that i could have had it for less. If you can get it for $275 go for it...just make sure someone hasn't cherry picked it. I suspect that's what happened to mine...just so happy to get it I didn't care.

    Greysheet is 285.00 - 310.00 on those.
