That is what is known as a "Die Dent' (based on the photos) The die was dented, or damaged, or came in contact with something, and then struck this coin (and others)
Oh yes that is what it is. I forget about die dents lol, found a couple on 2015-P 25C Homesteads. Can these become die breaks?
I doubt that they turn into die cracks, although if used long enough, I could see that potential possibility.
