Very good eye. If I'm not mistaken you got a deep impression from the die causing areas of exposed core. That's why I'm see in signs of copper on both the overs and reverse. USMC60
Thanks. The copper color is just the lighting I believe. I didn't see any exposed looking at it in hand.
I do not know if you remember this thread but you may want to take a look https://www.cointalk.com/threads/corn-stock-color.281738/ I thought it was just the lighting At first on mine. But after looking at it about 20 times and from every position, the copper still comes through in the hairlines.
