Could use some help with this one. I’m aware of MD and deterioration and the differences from doubled die. Even read through the PCGS article on 1999 coins. On this coin though I’m a little thrown off. Some areas are look like normal deterioration or MD but others are different. In “God” I see something a little different, looks like actual Doubled die (to me). In the date and mint mark especially inside the middle 9’s there’s a little something extra. Also, on “Trust” you can see jagged edges on the U and T.
Welcome to Coin Talk. IMO it looks more like Die Deterioration Doubling. I'm not an expert on doubled die coins. Unless it can be clearly seen or is listed in one of the reference books or in a TPG holder I wouldn't take a chance on buying one. www.doubleddie.com www.error-ref.com
