I found 1999 P Dime while roll searching last night that is unlike any coin I have seen. The edge of the coin starts off on one side the correct thickness of a Dime, however, as you spin the coin, the edge grows to the thickness of a Quarter. The coin is About Uncirculated and shows very little wear. There is no obvious distortions to the features on the Obverse nor the Reverse, it's just a weird coin with a sloping edge. Does anyone have an idea as to what happened to this coin while it was being minted? Sorry, but I can't seem to snap a photo of it with high enough resolution to show what I'm talking about.
Yes, we do need good photos, but please tell me if the strike on the thinnest part of the coin appears to be weak or not. Chris
