1999 Jefferson Nickel Lots of Doubling

    This is a 1999 P Jefferson Nickel. It has a lot of circulation damage but it also has lots of doubling. On the obverse "In God", "Trust", "Liberty", "1999", "P". On the reverse "Pluribus", "Unim", "America", "Cents". All opinions appreciated.

    Looks like "Die deterioration doubling" to me. :D

    I don't like giving opinions. I'll give you the correct information instead.. o_O

    That's not a Doubled Die variety.
    Like Sal mentioned, it's clearly die deterioration doubling which falls under the worthless doubling category.

    Yeah, what they said.

    Consider that in 1999, the Philadelphia Mint had one of their largest ever nickel outputs (1,212,000,000; yes, that's billion). Those dies were put through hell & back!
