1999 D Roosvelt Dime with one layer missing

    0Oberse.jpg 0Edge.jpg There's no question about. A normal one is, Weight 2.268 Gr. Thickness 0.053 and DIA 0.705 But this one has WEIGHT 1.87 GR. THICKNESS 0.045 AND DIA. 0.700

    It is starting to be a daily routine here at cointalk for people to expose the crap the us mint passes off as coinage. Yesturday it was a penny today a dime... maybe tomorrow will be a quarter?

    Anyways it is a neat find I'd keep it around just to show people and what not.

    From a Bank (Chase) roll. I still saving all the other dimes. because there also I found the 2010 P dime posted this morning.

    your coin looks a little off-center hmmm I wonder if that would bring even more money ? maybe the error pro's in here can tell you more.

    My son found a 1999 P dime. There is a bump on the check. I've attempted to loom it up but haven't found anything on it. I did see a couple of other post regarding the same bump.

    Pictures Laura, and start a new thread. Off the top of my head I can think of two possibilities one maybe worth a small premium, the other is just Post Strike Damage. Don't know which til we see it.

    You mean cheek?
    Most likely heat damage. Heat will create a bump under the clad layer.
