1999-d Nickel error? What is it?

    I was going through coins at my work when the reverse of this coin caught my eye. It seems to have a lamination error running rim to rim going straight through the top if the monticello. I need some insight on this...thanks for everyone that replies!

    Tough pic but I think the crowd in here would call that post mint damage. I could be wrong though (it happened once during the early seventies).

    To much glare along the crack, see if you can get it shaded some how.
    Its not post mint.

    Hi,

    It's difficult to tell from the picture. Perhaps a few more pictures would help. I would also be interested in seeing a closeup of E PLURIBUS UNUM, if possible. It has to be a fairly clear picture:)
