Hey everyone. I recently started collecting coins. I found a quarter that has a little indentation. I know that error coins can be interesting and valuable, but I was curious where a tiny indentation like this one would fall on the desirable/valuable scale.

(10 minuets later) My pictures are the wrong format so I will put them up as soon as I can figure out how to fix it.

Ok, I think I got the pictures up now.

Sorry but it is just a damaged coin.

That's too bad. Can you tell me how you know? For future reference.

The anomaly is indented. Most damage to a coin (after it has been struck) will cause an indentation of some sort. Not all indentations are damage; some were caused during the coin-making process and are errors. You would need to understand how coins are made to be able to understand all the different possibilites.
