1998 Quarter Die Chip

    I fold this in pocket change as I do all my Quarters I only roll hunt for pennies but I've looked at quit a few Quarters and was wondering are Die Chips common on Quarters?

    Die chips are common in almost all denominations. This one is very minor, and since it is not a severe break, it would not be worth much over face value.

    Tommy cent, think of this way: if you dig a small circular trench in your back yard, the area within that circle is going to cave in, (break off ) if you step on that area enough times. This is what is happening to the inside of letters and digits on dies. They are in a weakened state before they even go into production.
