1998 penny wide AM and double die?? UPDATED Reverse pics added I found a 1998 penny that is the wide AM in America but when I looked at the front looks like its also a double die. I am wondering if it is really a double die and what would it be worth with both errors on the same coin? Sorry the pics were taken with my blackberry though my loupe so they arent the best but thats all I have. Thanks Preston
That's plate-split doubling, IIRC. Or split plate, I don't remember the word. Pretty sure it's plate-split. Someone will correct me either way.
That means it's damage and carries absolutely no premium, even having maybe a negative impact on the value.
