The line on Abe appears to be a small die gouge.

It could also be a simple plating blister. It's a copper plated zinc cent.

You are correct, but tell me why it isn't a plating blister.

I am just guesing. Is it because there is no other blistering on the coin on both sides

@ARBIE SANTOS Are you sure the coin shows no other plating issues?

    I don't understand your question o_O
    What's your point?

Do you know what a linear plating bubble/blister is?
They occur in all sizes and shapes.

Yes and you are on the right track. ;)

The scratch line does draw the conclusions mentioned, but I thought the OP asked about the lump on the thigh , which could be a very small die chip. Both could be the caused by the same event. IMO. I doubt any value, but you have a good eye! Jim

It looks like a plating blister to me as well.

The coin appears to have a minor linear plating issue that shows on both sides.
Plating blisters can appear anywhere and any shape.
With linear plating it is rare to have a line that doesn't conform with the other lines.
The scratch on Abe appears to be going a different direction.
It also appears to be thinner and raised higher than the rest of the plating lines.
This is just my 2 cents. ;)

One other point to mention would be that the line/scratch doesn't appear to go on top of the leg as you would expect from a plating blister, it appears to go behind his leg.
