You have CLEARLY been led astray by SOMEBODY about what is and is not a worthwhile to collect coin. We're here for you, but you may need to do a hard reset and reboot and try again.
If you've been watching YouTube coin-related videos, STOP IT! They are pretty universally utter trash.
It's worth 1 cent for now. With the corrosion, in a few years it will be gone and worth nothing. Spend it now!
Yeah can't see it with my terrible pics. Not sure what happened but I'm new and haven't figure it out. I saw a video that showed the exact same penny. Even the mark on his head and it seamed to be the only other one. Thanks fir the comment. I will try to figure this all out later once I get home. Thanks
I first should have said "Welcome to Coin Talk!" Don't get discouraged or take the comments too hard. Keep at it and post your questions. Good luck.
The coin in the video is damaged, It isn't an error, It will never be. It is an uneducated assessment, from a person that doesn't have a clue how the minting process works Please stop watching these ridiculous videos, they "will" lead you in the wrong direction.
First, welcome to the neighborhood! Please don't be offended by the somewhat harsh comments from the others, but you must realize that we get a lot of comments like yours from newcomers to the hobby who made the mistake of watching some BoobTube video, first, instead of coming here. Your coin, to quote Moriarty from Kelly's Heroes, is a piece of junk! Chris
I see a huge market for the RIGHT vise job coin errors on YouTube. I should should I should take advantage of unsuspecting new collectors make error coins and sell them on EBay it would be Soooo easy! Die clashes, extra numbers and letters, created rim errors, feeder finger marks the list goes on! I could make a fortune!!!!! But alas I am a Hobbiest and NOT a scum bag. As stated above STAY AWAY from YouTube. Reed
It may be a vice to employ a vise in such a way, which is my tool to remember they’re spelled differently.
